What being a non-facility Y means:

Being a non-facility Y means that we do not have a typical swim/gym facility. All of our programs are provided through community partnerships.

We are a community based, non-facility YMCA. This means that all of our programs are provided through community partnerships.

Our Mission:

The YMCA of Northeast Louisiana's mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body FOR ALL!

Our Areas of Focus

We believe that to bring about meaningful change in individuals and communities, we must be focused and accountable. At the Y, we measure the success of our cause by how well we engage communities in our three areas of focus.  We are  a cause-driven organization that is for youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility. That’s because a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.

Defining our areas of focus:

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: Nurturing the potential of every child and teen.
HEALTHY LIVING: Improving the nation's health and well-being.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Giving back and providing support to our neighbors.

Advocacy

The Y is a cause for strengthening community, committed every day to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. When you advocate with the Y, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood.
